As welfare and subsidies are destructive to both the giver (the State) and taker (citizen) they should be eliminated. So I support DeVega's call for their elimination - for whatever reason - 100%. I wish Mister DeVega would also turn his x-ray vision on Asian Americans and explain what they have done to be so successful, and how the rest of us can emulate it. My kids are always in academic competitions during the school year (no swimming or baseball for them, 'sigh'). All I see in the couple hundred kids competing in Science Olympiad, etc. are Sub-Continent and Asian kids. African Americans and Hispanics/Latin Americans literally in the single digits. Whites fewer and fewer. He seems to hate the rich and Whites more than he likes the poor and non-Whites, because, and I could be wrong, he seems to just want to tear everything down than build anything or anyone up. Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, and Larry Elder want to build people up - of all races and creeds - I don't see that in Mr. DeVega Deleted in 1 . . . 2 . . . 3 . . . .
